The Last Cookie

Just did something quick to add to my day. The image came to me during a phone conversation so I tried to jot it down quickly in a few minutes between calls. Almost lost the thought in a "Dirk Gently" moment... Douglas Adam's "Holistic Detective" stated that the human brain can only hold seven coherent thoughts at any moment, think an eighth thought and the first thought falls completely off the brain.

About the Banner

I think I'm happy with the banner... it went through a very few permutations to get it right. I was fortunate to know what I wanted on first thought, and just had to work through it to get it right between yesterday's post and today. As always, comments and critique are welcome (although I have been known to stone Critics in the past, I try not to maintain such pastimes). After a few hitches with the design, I still love Photoshop...

Just One of Those Days

And then there are those days... have you ever felt like the Lord of the Trash? Angry or just fiending for that certain something and you just don't know what you want? I've been having just that kind of day.

Would You Do This?

I've always enjoyed "Dirty Jobs" with Mike Rowe... it really grants a bit of perspective to see that there are a lot of necessary tasks that really brave and staunch souls are willing to do to help maintain our civilization. Some of those tasks are truly horrific or nauseating, and not for the faint of heart or weak constitutions. I salute them.

Is It Paranoia?

This was intended as my upload for Friday's sketch of the day, but I got a little sidetracked with a few other projects and some design iterations of  a Troop Transport so this "Ambush" was delayed in completion.

And So It Begins?

My first sketch of the day post (that I'm not embarrassed to share). Karyn Xonis from Phase, done in Photoshop... thanks to Feng Zhu's advice about changing the brush settings, at 20% opacity I was able to emulate my natural penciling style.

With Trepidation

As a very private soul, I traipse none too lightly onto this very public forum. Hopefully this will be an outlet to generate greater productivity in my daily life (as if I don't spend enough time chained to my work and studies). For me this is a trip to the edge of the world, and an eyes-wide-open leap off that ledge...
